Years ago, I mentioned in a post about how companies should have a blog and keep it fresh (Freshen up.). Well I didn’t. It’s been a year and a half since my last post. Why? Oh, I have a dozen excuses. One is that nobody but me reads this damn thing. Another is that I got a contract gig for a while and didn’t have time, energy, or enthusiasm to post my bits of worthless wisdom.
Oh, don’t get me wrong, I thought about it a bunch of times. I had this great idea for one that talked about how this local TV station was CGIing ads into syndicated TV shows. (One has to wonder why an Atlanta car dealership would post a banner in a bar in New York.). And another offered a reasoned discussion of dumbening of America.
It’s not like I wasn’t blogging at all. I was ghost blogging for a client for a while. And that took some of the wind out of my own blogging sails. After all, some of my best ideas were done on their dime. Yes, I should’ve cross-posted and cross-marketed and further contributed to the interconnectedness of the interwebs. But I didn’t.
So contrary to my own advice, I’ll just say this. Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. I promise to do a better job of keeping it active in the future. But I won’t. And you already knew that.
